After a very long hiatus from the blogging world, I would like to say that I am back! I have promised myself that I will not place a great deal of pressure on myself as to how devoted I will be to my online passion, however my love for educating people about the benefits of good nutrition is difficult to keep bottled up!
My absense from my love of writing is due to an accumulation of life changing occurances that, to explain here would require more emotional energy then I care to expend. I will say, however, that I have learned a great deal about myself, and I am now on a path that I am proud of, work hard at, and I feel passion and love and true happiness for the first time!
The past few years I have continued to live for educating myself on health, leaning away from mainstream, western opinions and have begun to explore more natural ways of avoiding chemicals in foods and medicine.
My research has led me to beleive that different cultures from around the world have so much to offer our Western society. Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine, homeopathy; they all offer simple, yet effective ways of treating disease and associated symptoms, while connecting you to your inner, more spiritual side, and helping to create balance.
All of these methodologies have one thing in common; the belief in the food-body connection. Nutrition is about so much more then just the food we put into our mouthes because we are hungry. Food is fuel to run a complicated and amazing system that allows us to move, to think, and to feel. What we ingest affects every system in our bodies, from digestion, to our mental clarity to our emotions, and it is so often neglected as a way to heal.
It is also greatly overlooked as being a large contributor to those things that ail us. Headaches, exhaustion, depression, weight gain, degenerative diseases and everything inbetween have all proven to be connected with nutrition. I have been so encouraged by my research, that I have changed my entire way of life, and have reaped the incredible results, which are so apparent in my appearance, and how I carry myself spiritually and mentally, that family and friends have started to take steps towards improving their own lives through nutrition! This is the reason I love what I do. I live my passion, and I exude positivity, strength and encouragement to those who know me, and even those who don`t. The idea that I can inspire people to make small changes to better their health is the greatest reward, and encourages me to continue on this difficult, but exciting path to balanced nutrition, and a balanced life.
